Colin Coderre
Colin Coderre, co-founder of iAppDev, has been working in the hi-tech field since the late 1980s.
Colin studied mathematics, computer science, and business at McGill University. He also took courses in project management at the Schulich School of Business (York University), and web analytics at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He is self-taught in other areas as well.
Starting his career at Matrox Electronics in Montreal, Colin was immersed from the beginning in the most advanced graphics hardware and software in world. He started as a technical writer, went on to create the intellectual property department, and then developed their first in-house expert system.
In Vancouver, Colin worked at Electronic Arts (EA, as in EA Sports) in the games library group, which developed high-performance graphics libraries for other software developers in the company to use.
After moving to Toronto, Colin worked at several companies. He developed quality control software for a Chinese nuclear reactor, created large-scale business applications, and led a team at BroadVision that pioneered content management systems.
Along the way, Colin developed Campaign Canada, an educational Microsoft Windows game that teaches students about Canadian politics and geography. Published by Oxford University Press, it was distributed to schools across Canada.
Using his knowledge of the stock market, Colin created Stock Timer, a software program that analyzes stocks and provides valuable investing information that is not found anywhere else.
Colin Coderre lives in Toronto and now focuses on making entertaining and practical apps for the iPhone and iPad. His wide range of experience across industries makes him the ideal person to develop apps for just about any purpose.
Colin collaborates with graphic artist Rick Corvese to provide quality apps that dazzle as well as perform.
